Hello world, this is me:
An introduction perhaps? I am Ashley Rego, a carefree optimist, yet realist, with an incessant desire for spontaneity. I could reluctantly provide a list of my likes and dislikes, presenting a random assortment of things that make me seem unique yet in actuality have probably been stated in over half the blogs you can find on the internet, so I will spare the echo.
With a marketing background I have hopped around jobs from internet marketing to lifestyle PR, but have yet to land in a spot I truly love. I recently decided to go back to school so am now attending MassArt for Graphic Design. To see some of my current work, check out my portfolio.
I started And Off ReGo as a creative outlet to express my thoughts, inspirations, obsessions and love of everything that makes the world beautiful. *All photos were taken and edited by me, unless otherwise noted.
Eat Well: I love food. Like, love food. Cooking once was my stress release, but somehow that channel of meditation escaped me. I’m hoping…fingers crossed…that this blog will be a push to get me back in the kitchen. I also used to be somewhat of a health freak and was in incredibly good shape. This lifestyle has also slowly deteriorated, but I’m attempting to get back into it. No, this does not mean I’m eliminating gluten, nixing alcohol or only eating things that grow from the dirt. It simply means I won’t be consuming as much of it…everyone needs a burger and beer here and there.
Travel Often: Travelling is my passion and I am on the endless pursuit of figuring out how to travel the world on the small…very small budget that I have (suggestions welcome!). I have been lucky enough to have explored a variety of places around the world, but my travel bug is nowhere near being cured. So, if someone would like to pay me to travel…let’s chat 😉
Get Lost: I, like most 20 something year olds, have no idea what I’m doing with my life. NO idea. But that’s okay. Not knowing makes things exciting, right? What else can you do but explore your options. Graphic Design? Maybe. Opening a restaurant? Who knows. Inventing the next big thang? Certainly hope so. But in the end, whatever happens, happens…I’m just taking it day by day.
Find Yourself: In a world where you can be anything…be yourself.
“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life – and travel – leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks – on your body or on your heart – are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.” – Anthony Bourdain
